Waterstones Children’s Book Prize Winners & Booker Prize List

At Waterstones this week they have announced the winners of the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize 2020 which showcases new talent and the best of he best of books for kids.

The Booker Prize 2020 Longlist

Widely regarded as the UK’s foremost literary award, the Booker Prize recognises the best novel written in English and published in the UK and Ireland, as voted for by an annually chosen panel of expert judges.

Whilst literary titans such as Hilary Mantel, Anne Tyler and Colum McCann have made the cut this year, it is very much a longlist packed with exciting new talent. From Brandon Taylor’s powerful account of a Black student’s campus struggles to C Pam Zhang’s mythic retelling of the American West, this year’s Booker’s Dozen of thirteen great novels enthrals and enlightens at every turn.

The shortlist will be announced on Tuesday 15 September, with the winner being crowned on Tuesday 27 October.
